Memo to OneCare

In recognition of the Dalai Lama's visit to Australia this week.... I thought I'd publish the following quote from his Holiness as a timely message to the Board of OneCare after their unprincipled decision to pull out of the operation of the Philip Oakden House hospice before another operator for this community funded site could be secured.

"Unfortunately, love and compassion have been omitted from too many spheres of social interaction for too long. Usually confined to family and home, their practice in public life is considered impractical, even naive. This is tragic."

Find a heart, One Care. And if POH isn't to be utlised as a hospice in the future as the community demands, make sure you turn the building over to another worthy community use rather than subsuming it into your aged care provision.
